My name is Vincent Kwok Kit-chun, and I have been serving the Central and Western District since my student days at the University of Hong Kong. As part of the younger generation in Hong Kong, I have always been incredibly grateful that I was raised in a relatively affluent society. Since a young age, I have possessed a strong passion for community affairs, which has then evolved into a keen devotion towards public service. Upon graduation, I have been engaged in work related to technology translation and industrial partnering, and have also been actively participating in district service.
Although the Central District is Hong Kong's political and economic centre, and the district is overall rather affluent, there remains many long-time community issues in the area. For example, the lack of ancillary transport facilities and leisure facilities, ageing buildings, and the hygiene and safety issues caused by wild animals are all issues that require continued attention and follow-up from District Councillors in order to achieve significant improvements. Additionally, there is a need to press ahead with the efforts regarding urban greening, recycling, heritage conservation, and the promotion of an inclusive culture between individuals and pets. All of these ongoing issues drive my decision to participate in this year's District Council Election, as I hope to be able to effectively improve the infrastructure in the Central District f elected.
With a sincere heart, an unyielding spirit, professional knowledge, and the vigour and vitality of my youthfulness, hope to continue to gain a deeper understanding of the needs present in the Central District, and help to solve these problems. I call on all of you for your support and trust! Please support the New People's Party, and vote for Vincent Kwok Kit-chun on December 10!
